Head Start early childhood development and family-focused program has built a reputation of outstanding service to children and families of Hawaii County. Since 1965, Head Start has served The Big Island providing developmentally and culturally sensitive services to 376 funded Head Start children, 3 and 4 years of age through various settings including center-based and home-based.
